What's Right for You?

The S3 Center provides you with single-session interventions (SSIs), which are programs that are intentionally designed to be just one encounter. SSIs are purposefully designed to be brief and personalized. There is no need to sign up or create an account! You can access any or all of our options when it is most convenient for you. No identifying information is stored when completing these SSIs, they are private and anonymous.

Healthcare workers and trainees have the option of selecting self-guided or provider-delivered SSIs.

We are currently in an evaluation stage of this Health Services and Resources Administration (HRSA) funded project to find out whether these supports are helpful to Stony Brook Medicine healthcare workers, trainees, medical schools, and healthcare workers at broad.

Self-Guided SSIs

Self-guided SSIs take about 20-30 minutes to complete and can be completed at any time, in any place with Internet connection, and on any electronic device. Our evidence-based self-guided SSIs will teach you meaningful skills, ask for your advice, and develop a personalized action plan for you to keep.

Provider-Delivered SSIs

Our provider-delivered SSI will allow you to meet 1-on-1 with one of our providers, trained to deliver our evidence-based Single-Session Consultation (SSC) service. The SSC is a 50-minute consultation that teaches you skills and strategies to address a specific problem or concern in your life. At the end of the SSC, you walk away with a personalized action plan to help you make meaningful change in your life.
